[MYI] FAQ about the Marketing Yourself Intensive

I’ve been receiving some questions about the Marketing Yourself Intensive, a 6-week group program for experts and entrepreneurs. I thought you might find these answers helpful.

(If you have another question not covered here, feel free to hit 'reply' and I'll get back to you right away.)

==========

Q: Is this a live program, or a prerecorded course?

==========

A: This is a live program. You do not need to attend all of the live sessions, as replays will be emailed out after each, but we will be working on your platform and your cornerstones together, week by week for 6 weeks.

==========

Q: When are the live group coaching sessions?

==========

A: There are 6 hour-long sessions week, all optional. Wednesdays 11am NZST / 9am AEST // Tuesday 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT. (These are all the same time, at different parts of the globe.) See the time in your time zone on your calendar here.

==========

Q: When are the 1-on-1 calls?

==========

A: Your first 1-on-1 coaching call will be in late April, and the second is in late May. I will give you a scheduling calendar to select a time for these calls that suits you best.

==========

Q: Do you give feedback on me and my situation?

==========

A: Boy, do I ever! Your involvement in this program will mean you will get my specific feedback on the workbooks we produce together, and I will give you advice on your particular technology stack, branding and positioning, offer strategy, and audience development.

==========

Q: What kind of technical experience do I need to have?

==========

A: You don't actually need any technical skills - if you can write in a Google Doc or a fillable PDF, you can complete all of the lessons in this program.

==========

Q: How often will I receive your feedback?

==========

A: All workbooks completed by Monday morning will receive my personal review and feedback by the next group session.

Feedback may be provided via in-document comments, Show & Tell post comments, or individually via email, as needed.

==========

Q: What’s the time commitment?

==========

A: Two hours per week.

Every participant will be expected to spend 1 hour with 1 workbook each week (more if you like, but 1 hour is the commitment) followed by a 1-hour group coaching session, where I give everyone feedback and hot seat coaching on their homework.

Here are the workbooks available in this program:

==========

Q: What’s the financial investment?

==========

A: $1500. This investment includes:

  • 16 Cornerstone Workbooks, the companion templates to my book Marketing Yourself

Hello Reader, In 24 hours, I'll be going live with the Authorverse community to teach my newest workshop, '5 Business Models Behind Books.' Here are the 5 books I will be using to illustrate the 5 business models: (Yes, I am using my own book as an example. Teacher's prerogative. 😁) In working with so many experts and entrepreneurs over the past decade, I have been on the back-end of many businesses that rely on a published book as the cornerstone of their positioning. The 5 business models I...

5 business models behind books

Hello Reader, How do authors build a thriving business around their published work? Spoiler alert: it's not by selling more books. In my work over the past decade with authors, coaches, and speakers, I have been behind-the-scenes of multiple 6- and 7-figure businesses. I've seen how their businesses are structured, developed the commercial offers they make to their audience, and learned firsthand what's working, and what's a waste of time. Next week, I'm teaching a free workshop for the...

hero-villain

Hello Reader, In every story, there are three characters: the hero, the villain, and the victim. A century ago, American film was born out of the vaudeville scene. The main storytelling medium at the time was melodrama, when the characters were almost comically basic. Think of the mustachio-twirling villain, tying a damsel in distress to the train tracks, being thwarted by a gun-toting hero, and you have all the basics you need to tell a compelling story: setting, conflict, and characters....
